Sam & Ash had the pleasure of taking a tour of Allegiant Stadium, the new home of the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League.
We had the privilege of checking out all areas of the stadium from the owners’ boxes and press rooms to the Raiders’ locker rooms and the playing field. We were struck by how the Raiders have immersed themselves in the Las Vegas community and embraced all the history our city has to offer.
About Allegiant Stadium
Allegiant Stadium showcases many amazing pieces of art by different artists. Most of the artwork has a Las Vegas theme or makes a cultural reference to Las Vegas history. For example, there are light-hearted portraits of Frank Sinatra recast as the Raiders football coach and of Marilyn Monroe as a Raiderette cheerleader.
The stadium is located adjacent to the famous Las Vegas Strip and will be a global event destination for concerts and special sporting events. The stadium is expected to create 6,000 permanent jobs in southern Nevada. It is fully enclosed and climate-controlled with a seating capacity of 65,000.
The stadium has 75,000 square feet of video display boards, 2,200 televisions, and enough cubic yards of concrete to build a 257-mile sidewalk from Las Vegas to Los Angeles! It is quite an impressive accomplishment.
We are extremely proud to have the Raiders in Las Vegas and we look forward to cheering for the football team during the upcoming season.
