Christmas Crash? Call Sam & Ash!

A person in winter attire stands confidently in a snowy setting, evoking warmth and resilience.

It may come as a surprise to those who have never visited during winter, but Las Vegas can get very busy during December. Almost 3.5 million visitors arrive to town that month, including nearly 350,000 specifically for the annual National Final Rodeo and related events, as well as up to 400,000 for the week of Christmas through New Year’s Eve.

With so many visitors coming and going, many of them by car, the risk for accidents and injuries while driving to, and around in, Las Vegas increases. Crowded venues, busy casinos, and plenty of people celebrating the holidays can lead to traffic accidents, slip-and-falls, and plenty of other unexpected situations and injuries.

Despite the fact that you are visiting for a fun time, it is important to keep in mind that if you are involved in an incident at a hotel casino or other venue in Las Vegas, or a traffic accident (whether you were driving or not), do not wait until you get home, or worse, until after the holidays, to take action. If something happens, the time to act is immediately.

Critical Steps

Of course, when injured, the most important first actions are to get to safety and obtain medical treatment. But once that is done, it’s time to take your situation seriously and act accordingly. You should make notes of everything that happened leading up to the incident, during the incident, and afterwards. Document everything you can with words, photos, and diagrams. Do what you can to get the contact information of those involved — including any law enforcement, property or venue representatives you interact with, and all witnesses. File all necessary incident reports and get copies of them.

During many incidents, all of this will happen very quickly — especially if the injuries appear minimal or non-existent. During and immediately after any kind of physical incident, you may be in a different state of mind, as a result of adrenaline, instincts, fear, or all three. Don’t let the situation impact your clear thinking. It is important to not leap to any conclusions, admit fault to anyone, or tell anyone that you are not injured or “feel okay.” Always ask for medical attention, even if you think you are good. Document, record, photograph.

Let Us Help

Along the way, you may reach a point where you think everything is going to be okay. And you might be right. But the fact is that many injuries don’t show themselves for a day, several days, or longer. After you have received medical attention, and then completed your documentation (or, maybe even before that), it’s time to consider contacting a personal injury attorney. Reputable injury law offices like Sam & Ash can provide you with a quick, knowledgeable assessment of your situation. They can listen to your story and expertly help guide your next steps, from getting additional medical treatment, to assisting with transportation and more.

Most importantly, don’t wait until you get home. Don’t let your ego or pride inhibit you from thinking you don’t need help. Making the call and taking the 15 minutes to help us help you may be the most important call of your life.

If you are injured while in Las Vegas for the holidays, don’t wait. Call Sam & Ash 24/7 for a free 15-minute consultation. Someone here will be able to help for free, with no obligation. When you are injured, we fight, you win.
