I spoke with Ian ( lead attorney ) this morning about a possible case. Although my case wasn’t strong, he literally took an hour to discuss and give law based facts as to how a case works and why my case would be a challenge. Ian is a true gentleman and has an approach that is unmatched! If you have a possible case do yourself a favor and reach out to him… it will be the most honest answer you can get during a tough situation. Good Luck with your journey!!

I got rear-ended in the In-N-Out drive thru. It wasn’t a very high speed accident. But by the time I got home I could barely stand up. My back has been a little fragile ever since the military and the impact of that minor accident did a number on me.

The damage to my car was only $500 (tough Jeep bumper). Luckily, I knew not to trust the insurance company and that they would use the minor damage to screw me over.

I called Sam & Ash on a weekend and was immediately guided what to do and taken care of.

Not only would I have got a worse result (and probably not recovered fully), but it would have been so much MORE DIFFICULT if I did it on my own. Instead, they handled literally everything except going to my appointments. When the chiro stopped giving me progress, they helped me find a physical therapist. My result? I’m pretty close to 100% recovered and they put close to 10k in my pocket (even after medical bills). Incredible. I don’t think I could have got a few hundred in my pocket on my own.

Sam & Ash Injury Law is one of the best law firms I worked with. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs help and support with their case. The caseworkers are nice and they care. Kayla called and checked on me and sent me flowers when my grandmother passed away as I was still working through the difficulties of my injury. Please give them a call and check them out. Filing a Claim After An Auto Accident

If you need to file a lawsuit after a car accident, you typically have two years from the date of the crash to do so. California law allows only a few exceptions to extend this deadline.

We can help you understand your legal options, guide you through the process, and make sure you don’t miss important deadlines.

What To Do After

To ensure a fair negotiation process with insurance providers and help you obtain your rightful compensation, here are some key steps to follow after a car accident:

Responders will secure the area, control the situation, and prepare an official report, ensuring proper documentation for any necessary follow-up.

Take photo and video of the scene. Store reports, important items, and any records securely so nothing useful to your case is lost or misplaced.

A prompt exam can uncover unseen injuries and create important documentation for your claim

Attend all follow-up appointments, complete recommended treatments, and participate in any necessary therapies.

If the incident occurred in public, notify nearby people, business owners, or file an incident report.

Do not wait to get the legal advice you need. We can start investigating the accident, preserving evidence, and protecting you from day one.

Record detailed notes about how the accident occurred and track symptoms, treatments, and recollections related to your recovery process.

Refrain from posting about your incident—anything posted online could impact your claim.

Answering Your Questions

Don’t talk to the insurance company. It gives the claims adjuster an opportunity and ammunition to hurt your case. During these calls, insurance adjusters ask leading questions to obtain statements they can later use against you. Additionally, they pressure you to accept lowball offers.

After an accident, you don’t have all the information you need to get the settlement that’s right for you. That is why it is best not to speak with the insurance company. When you partner with Sam & Ash Injury Law, we will communicate your best interests and protect your claim from the adjuster.

Not all car accidents require the help of a personal injury attorney, but you deserve answers. Even minor accidents cause injuries that should be compensated. For clear answers, get a free consultation from us. We’re available 24/7 to discuss What’s Right for you. No pressure, no hard sell—just the advice you need to help you move forward.

Insurance claims aren’t just for drivers. Pedestrians, bicyclists, and passengers who are injured in car accidents are also entitled to compensation. But being a passenger in a car accident can leave you with a lot of questions. Where exactly is your place in a personal injury claim?

In most cases, passengers do not cause car accidents. Passengers rely on others’ driving. If your own driver was at fault in the accident, it’s best to hire an attorney and pursue a claim on the driver’s insurance policy. Pursuing a claim is not personal—it’s about starting a process that provides compensation for your injuries.

In California, you can partly be at fault for an auto collision and still recover compensation. California follows a “modified comparative negligence” law that allows accident victims to recover payment for damages as long as they are not more than 50% at fault. When this is the case, the victim’s compensation is reduced by his or her percentage of fault.

So, for example, you suffer $100,000 in damages in a car wreck, but you are found to be 10% at fault for your crash. Your compensation would be reduced by $10,000 (10% of $100,000).
