Weekly Automobile Safety Recalls – Protecting Drivers in Las Vegas, Reno, and Southern California

At Sam and Ash Injury Law, we know how important it is to keep your family safe on the roads of Las Vegas, Reno, and Southern California. Every week, our automobile safety recalls blog delivers the latest vehicle safety recalls issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and major manufacturers — so you can stay informed and protect yourself from hidden dangers.

Whether you drive a daily commute through Las Vegas traffic, navigate the mountain passes near Reno, or travel the busy freeways of Southern California, a single overlooked recall can turn a routine drive into a serious accident. As experienced car accident attorneys serving Nevada and California, we see firsthand how defective vehicles cause life-changing injuries. That’s why we publish this weekly update: to give you clear, actionable information about current automobile safety recalls so you can check your VIN, schedule free repairs, and avoid preventable crashes.

This Week’s Vehicle Safety Recalls (Week of March 31 – April 6, 2026)

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration continues to announce critical new recalls that could impact thousands of vehicles on roads throughout Nevada and Southern California. Here are some of the most significant automobile safety recalls reported or updated in recent days:

  • Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager Minivans (2022–2026 models) — FCA US is recalling approximately 178,246 Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager vehicles because the side-curtain airbags may have improperly sealed seams. This defect can reduce airbag pressure retention in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to occupants. If you own one of these popular family minivans, check your VIN immediately.
  • Ford and Lincoln SUVs (primarily 2022–2025 models) — Ford is recalling over 254,000 vehicles, including the Lincoln Navigator, Lincoln Nautilus, Lincoln Aviator, and Ford Explorer. The issue involves software that may cause an unexpected reset of safety features, including the rearview camera and certain advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). A blank or unavailable rearview camera can make reversing and parking more dangerous, especially in busy urban areas like Las Vegas or tight mountain roads near Reno.
  • Hyundai Palisade and Palisade Hybrid (2026 models – Limited and Calligraphy trims) — Hyundai is recalling about 46,787 of these SUVs due to a faulty seat belt sensor in the third-row driver-side position. Damage to the buckle wiring may prevent the system from detecting whether the seat belt is fastened, potentially disabling related safety warnings and increasing injury risk in a collision.
  • Toyota and Lexus Models (various 2022–2026 model years) — Toyota is recalling approximately 144,200 vehicles, including certain Lexus NX, RX, and TX models, along with additional campaigns affecting the Tundra, Tacoma, RAV4 Hybrid, Grand Highlander, and others. Issues include incorrect load-carrying capacity labels (which could lead to overloading) and potential backup camera display problems in some vehicles. Always verify your specific VIN, as multiple separate recalls may apply.

Additional recalls involving smaller volumes or specific components (such as seat belt anchors, fuel systems, or electrical issues in other makes) have also been issued. Manufacturers like GM, Volkswagen, and others continue to address ongoing safety concerns.

Important Reminder: All recall repairs are free at authorized dealerships. However, many owners never receive or act on recall notices. We strongly recommend checking your vehicle’s status regularly.

How to Check for Recalls on Your Vehicle:

  1. Visit the official NHTSA website at www.nhtsa.gov/recalls
  2. Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or search by make, model, and year
  3. Schedule any open recalls promptly—repairs are provided at no cost to you
